What’s New With Offcall!

We hope everyone survived the snowstorm and we’re excited to reach out with the latest Offcall Columbus weekly update!

Thank you to everyone who’s tested the app and shared feedback over the past several weeks. The Offcall team is heads down racing to release two key features:

  • #1: A desktop version of Offcall allowing you to add your staff and enabling anyone in your practice to track, send, and receive referrals. This is by far our most requested feature.

  • #2 Group messaging on the app which will allow you to post HIPAA-compliant messages to a group of fellow Columbus physicians and create groups with other clinicians in the community. We’ll have something for everyone to review and test soon.

⭐ Special Acknowledgements This Week

While we build these features, we’d also like to acknowledge a few of the superstar clinicians who helped get the app off the ground and spread the word this week.

❗Tell Us How You Feel About the State of Medicine

We want to hear from you! We’re collecting 100 responses to a handful of survey questions about independent practice (takes 2 mins!) which we will publish anonymously as part of our Offcall’s upcoming 2026 Fairness Report. The ideal is to capture what independent doctors feel has gone wrong in modern medicine and detail what collective changes you want to see. Thanks in advance for participating!

Columbus Physician Spotlight: Dr. Patrice Bellanti

As part of our mission to lift up Columbus clinicians, each week we’ll feature a different clinician having an incredible impact in the community. This week, meet Dr. Patrice Bellanti who’s a board certified psychiatrist in Dublin at Ketamine Health & Wellness Clinics of Ohio. Send her a referral or message directly on the app!

1. Patrice, tell us a little bit about your practice. Ketamine Health and Wellness Clinics of Ohio provides general psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, with specialization in treatment refractory depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. We accept most insurance plans and are safe and evidence-based providers of IV ketamine and Spravato for patients who have not responded to traditional mental health medications and treatment.

2. Why are you so passionate about being and staying independent? Being independent has allowed for better patient care, less burn out, and happier patients and clinic staff. I have the freedom to do things like limit the number of new intakes seen daily, block out sufficient time for new and returning patients, and not feel the pressure to see 15-20 psychiatric patients a day, which many places now require. Our staff doesn't feel rushed and truly get to know our patients which is why we went into mental health in the first place! It has also allowed us to help patients in ways I couldn't before. If a patient needs a special payment plan, or more frequent follow up, I have the ability to make it happen without being blocked by administrative staff.

3. What’s your biggest hope / dream for the future of the Columbus physician community? I think a large part of physician longevity and happiness depends on feeling like you have options and control of how you want to practice medicine. This has largely disappeared for many of us in recent years, but I believe it is coming back. WE are the ones who need to make this happen. I hope physicians in Columbus know that it is possible to build a practice from the ground up, and is slowly becoming easier because of technology and the ability to outsource things like billing, advertising, website building and EMR implementation from anywhere in the country.

4. Fun fact: When you get all the time back using the Offcall app from sending and receiving referrals, what will you do for fun?! I hope to continue to spend more time hiking and camping with my kids and travelling as they get older. My 8-year-old daughter wants to go to surf school and my 10-year-old son loves WW2 history and airplanes, so I want to go to Waikiki and Pearl Harbor this summer!
